songbyrd  > dayhike > South Fork Yuba River: Purdon Crossing
Dave and I headed up to the Yuba River for a dayhike. The weather was perfect. The wildflowers were in their peak. (so was the poison oak) The river was raging to perfection. This whole trail is in the shade. It's beautiful. We did an out and back so we wouldn't have to shuttle. Only one car in the parking lot when we got there.

songbyrd > Not sure what kind of bird this was but he was big and had a long beak sot of like a duck. We watched him fly high up in the tree.
